Warsaw Piano competition

The "Salute to Chopin" Warsaw International Youth Piano Competition was launched in March 2020, hosted by SAE Art Education Platform and co organized by Shanghai Music Publishing House. To commemorate the 210th anniversary of the birth of Chopin, the most influential and popular piano composer in history, a piano competition was held to discover, cultivate, and select a group of outstanding piano children, and to exchange ideas with young pianists around the world who love Chopin.

The first competition in 2020 received enthusiastic support from contestants and teachers from all over China, and adopted a combination of online evaluation and offline city competitions. Nearly a thousand contestants participated in the selection competition within China. Split points have been set up in nearly 40 cities in China, with a total of tens of thousands of participants. The second and third editions are even more.With the active participation of hundreds of thousands of Chinese athletes, after layers of selection in various regions, they advanced to the finals of the Chinese region. In the finals, the athletes demonstrated their abilities, showcased their talents, and achieved excellent results.

The judging panel is led by the most authoritative experts in the Chinese and foreign piano industry, ensuring the authority, fairness, high standards, and professionalism of the competition.

This competition has received strong support from the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Guangzhou and Shanghai. In the China regional finals, a special award for "Tomorrow's Little Pianist" was presented by the Consul General himself. Mr. Consul General expressed his expectation that the contestants from the Asia Pacific region will participate in the International Finals in Warsaw, Poland, Chopin's hometown, with outstanding performances!

A highly accomplished pianist in the Kingdom of Belgium, he graduated from the Elizabeth Conservatory of Music in 1989 under the guidance of the renowned Hungarian pianist Levente Kende. The following year, he was hired by the Ravenclaw School of Music and has been teaching there ever since. He is currently a professor of piano performance at the school.
